for over two months now, I’ve been going to the gym, doing cardio first, and then some weight training.  I am starting to feel much stronger, and have graduated from the recumbent bike to the elliptical for cardio, which is a miracle in itself.  Two months ago, I couldn’t go 5 minutes at the lowest level on the elliptical, and now I am doing 35 minutes on level 5, and not really feeling that much pain or strain.  Sweating plenty, but able to handle it.  I’ll keep pushing up the level as I get stronger.  The weights are getting a lot easier too, and I do arms and upper body one day, with a little core, and then legs and ankles the next and alternate.  The cartilege in my left ankle is pretty bad, but getting better with the muscles being strengthened.  I’m able to walk without hobbling now, which is new for me.  Big strides for sure.  Having the gym so close by is a Godsend, as it’s fully equipped, and 24/7.
